(Lk 9:13)
bread and wine, body and blood of Christ, death and life
compared
to rip the man plunged into a life without food.
Bread offered acceptable sacrifice,
body sacrificed for atonement
blood flowing bloody
paid to us as a seal of love.
This bread has a name because it is alive:
is a Person, the Body of the Incarnate Word;
the blood of life is instilled in us
to regenerate our parched souls.
Body of Christ rose for us,
that lives and grows beyond death;
crucified Christ inaugurated it in the new redeemed humanity from evil.
His body is glorified in heaven
and is still torn on the ground;
is constantly broken bread that
reassembles into our hearts torn.

dalla schiavitù dell’antica condanna.
Coppa di benedizione eterna, innalzata

O Lord glorious bread and wine of heaven
ago 'Easter with us today;
still operates the ancient wonders of grace
feed the slaves and saved the dessert from Egypt

fatto carne e spegni la nostra sete
